Mary Jo McGuire I grew up in Sterling Heights, Michigan. I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. I went on to receive my master's degree in Educational Leadership (Principalship) from Saginaw Valley State University at their Chesterfield location.
I am super excited to be starting my 19th year of teaching. My teaching experiences include 4th grade at the Edison Project in Detroit and Rodgers Elementary in Lake Shore, and the rest teaching math (the best subject ever) to grades 6th, 7th, and 8th at Kennedy Middle School.
Family is very important to me. I have been married to my husband Brian for 15 years. I am a full-time working mom who is kept busy at home by my 12 year old daughter Maggie (who loves to dance, play basketball, and constantly takes Snapchats) and my 10 year old son Jimmy (who loves to play football, baseball, and basketball).
Here are my student expectations: Treat others the way you want to be treated.
